Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

John Durbin currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ClearWell Dynamics, bringing over a decade of experience in the energy industry from both company and advisory-side roles. John joined ClearWell Dynamics in 2023 as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development and was appointed CFO in spring of 2025. Prior to joining ClearWell Dynamics, he served as Manager of M&A Finance at Holt Group, where he played a pivotal role on the corporate development team responsible for evaluating, closing, and integrating strategic acquisitions and investments across Holt Group’s business segments. John also served as an Associate at Alvarez & Marsal in the North American Commercial Restructuring practice, where he provided advisory services to distressed companies and creditors through complex restructurings, including Chapter 11 processes and out-of-court workouts. His transaction experience spans multiple domestic and international oilfield service companies. John began his finance career at Andeavor (formerly Tesoro Corporation), supporting financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and corporate development initiatives for Andeavor’s Master Limited Partnership (MLP) through its sale to Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School and is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
